Size and care guide

Every design comes in the same three sizes, and the print scales with the blanket. Pick the size for where the blanket will live, then wash it cold and dry it low.

The three sizes

Size Inches Centimeters Where it lives
Small 30 by 40 76 by 102 Lap, stroller, reading chair, car
Medium 50 by 60 127 by 152 Couch throw for one adult, foot of a bed
Large 60 by 80 152 by 203 Top of a twin bed, two adults on a couch

These are the print partner's stated dimensions. Sewn goods vary by about 1 inch either way, and the first wash can shrink the blanket by up to 3 percent.

How to choose

  1. Measure the spot. A standard couch cushion depth is about 22 inches, so a 50 by 60 hangs to the floor on a low couch and stays on the seat of a deep one.
  2. Decide who is under it. One adult is comfortable under 50 by 60. Two adults, or one adult plus a large dog, want 60 by 80.
  3. Think about the print. The panel scales with the blanket, so the art is largest on the 60 by 80. On the 30 by 40 it is still fully visible but reads as a smaller patch.

Every product page includes a drawing of the three sizes to the same scale, with the panel in place, so you can compare before you order.

Where the print sits

Design family Panel position
Best Dog Ever, Nature's Golden Hour, Summer Magic, Collect Moments, Caribbean signpost Centered on the front
Summer Vibes Near the top edge, centered left to right
Paradise Found Small, near a top corner

The back of every blanket is plain white velveteen. Only one side is printed.

Material

  • Polyester velveteen, about 300 grams per square meter, per the print partner's blank specification.
  • Dye-sublimation print. The ink bonds with the fiber rather than sitting on top, so the panel stays soft.
  • Double-needle stitched edges.

We do not have an independent fiber or weight test, so we state the print partner's specification and nothing more.

Care

Step Do Do not
Wash Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, mild detergent. Wash alone the first time. No bleach. No fabric softener; it coats the pile.
Dry Tumble dry low, or hang to dry. No high heat. Heat can flatten the pile and dull the print.
Iron Nothing to do. Shake it out and it recovers. Do not iron, and never iron the printed panel.
Dry clean Not needed. Do not dry clean.
Storage Fold loosely in a dry closet. Do not store damp or in plastic for long periods.

What to expect from the print

  • Product images are renders from the print file, not photographs. Screen colors and velveteen colors will not match exactly.
  • Velveteen has a nap. Fine lines and small text soften a little, which is most visible on the small text inside the badge seals.
  • The white ground around the panel is the blanket itself. Nothing is printed there.
